Hi, I am new to the 4x4 life but am willing to learn...I am vacationing in April down along the outer banks and into S.C. and was wondering if anyone could recommend a good place for light wheelin'. My G/F will be there and really pissed if I stick the X for a few hours in the soft stuff. I thought a beach would be cool... Any sudggestions??? Thanks a lot, jamison. ------------------

During the tourist season you are only allowed to drive on the beach at the northern end. During the off season you can go pretty much anywhere. Nags Head requires a pass to drive on their part of the beach. There is also a checkpoint at every entrance where they make sure your vehicle is suited for hitting the beach, they will give you a list of rules and off-limits areas there.
