i'm in norcal. my favorite place so far was just outside of washington, ca. it's about 40 miles north 80 of just as you hit the foothills of the sierra's driving east.

the road into town winds down deep into a valley. this place has barely changed since the gold rush, no joke. i'd guess the population is 35, though they insist on 150. great bar downtown with rooms and mad breakfast. cheap.

just past town the pavement ends. just past the resovoir, it gets kinda gnarly. lots of rocks. the trail goes back about 9 miles to a campsight. the terrain is fun. it's just rugged enough so a stock X can make it without mods.

anyone else know some norcal sweet spots? or any other place for that matter.
