I just bought an end of the year 04 2wd V6. I am just an old guy, but I have had a few 4x4s & lots of trail bikes and have a little automotive knowledge. I traded in my Ford Escape. There is no comparison in quality between it and Nissan. I am glad to have something with a Truck frame under me again, and I won't miss the poor CD4E Ford/Mazda automatic transmission that they still use in the Escape. I have owned 4 Nissan trucks and am happy to be back in a Nissan.. Hi to everyone.. Mojave..

Good to hear that you traded in the evil look alike that ford is stamping out, that's a whole 'nother rant I'll save for off-topic. Although I'm still relitivly new here, I have learned so much from this forum, and still more to learn.

YOu would be suprised how much of the Mojave Desert I have covered in my 2WD Nissan pick up trucks, I love Johnson Valley east of Victorville. No one said I were smart, lol. Don't forget the definition of 4WD.."You are now stuck in a worse place"... I have done my share of 4 wheelin now as I am getting older I just stay on the little dirt trails (let the air down and go fast if you see sand) Thanks for the Hi to all of you... Mojave
