I have a 2003 with auto hubs, it will shift into 4wd no problem but when i slow down shift trans to neutral and shift to 2wd it stays in 4wd until i stop and unlock the auto hubs. what could the problem be? The auto hubs are working fine

on mine I still have to back up a bit to make sure they unlock sometimes, even more so on higher traction surfaces.

That's how auto hubs work...after shifting into 2wd, you either leave the hubs lock, in case you might get stuck later, etc...or, you back up ~6' or so to unlock them.

The 4wd light will stay on for a bit the same way, etc.

IE: You have not described a problem. (Relax and enjoy)
