Anyone experienced this before? I was driving last night and my dash lights went out for about 3 minutes. They came back on and didn't go out again, until I turned the lights off. I've never had that happen before. Sign of her getting old - '00 with 240K.

It's the dimmer switch. I have the same model year and mine does that occasionally. It concerned my the first time it happened but now that I know what it is I just reach over and give the dimmer a quick roll down and back up and the lights come back every time. Could be loose connection or dirt in the switch but it happens so infrequently that I don't bother fixing it.

Thanks. Hasn't happened again, but it was a little scary for a minute. I tend to speed and that area is like the NC State Police hang out zone.
