Before anyone jumps on me, ive searched and haven't found anything on it. Im going to need new tires at the end of the summer and im tired of looking like all of the other xterras around my area. Money is tight so im trying to find the cheapest set of all terrain tires that don't suck. Much appreciated if y'all can help, once I find some tires I want to start my build.

It is all relative with tires, you pretty much get what you pay for. A premium tire costs more, but has a much longer life. A cheap tire wears out more quickley and has thinner side walls.

You also neglected to state what you actual budget is, and what size you intend to run.

Actually, as it is with a lot of things, the premium tires may be cheaper in the long run. Since you will have to replace the cheaper tires sooner, you may have to buy TWO sets in the life of just ONE set of the premium tires. So when you consider the cost of TWO sets of the cheaper tires, they may be more expensive then the premium tire for the same mileage. Plus, you're more likely to have problems (sidewall puncturs, less traction, etc.) with the cheaper tires too.

About $800-$900 for "33? Ebay a good place to buy tires?

Depends. What tires are you talking about? $800-900 may be a good price. On the other hand, it could be an outrageous price too. It all depends on what tires the $800-900 is getting you. Some are certainly better than others.

Alright, I think ive narrowed it down. Anyone else have the Goodyear wrangler duratracs at walmart? About 160 I want to say?

$160 each puts you at $640 for a set of four, plus stems, mounting and balance. So let's say $700. Considering that those tires (Goodyear Duratracs) don't get favorable reviews on here (DO A SEARCH), I'd be inclined to put in another hundred or so and get a better tire.

Do what you want. But tires, good and bad, along with prices, have been discussed ad nauseum on here. If you do some comparison shopping on sizes and prices you could get some great tires for the price you're talking. I paid about $800 for my BFG AT/KO's about a year and half ago. "Stock" size (265/70R16) was well over $900, but by going to a slightly larger tire (265/75R16), I saved about $50 per tire. And I don't think anyone would say anything about them on here. Plus I got a 60k mile warranty with them too. Something you rarely get with an AT/MT tire.

I've run through two sets of the BFG Rugged Trail T/As and finally was happy with the Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor. Both tires run about 190-200 each in the 265/65/17 size, but you can usually find a tire dealer doing a by 3 get one free deal. Combine this with the 160 Goodyear rebate and the cost comes down to under 600 with mounting, tax etc..

I just purchased a set of the Falken Rocky Mountains from Discount Tire ... $704 out the door. LT265/75r16, 3 ply sidewalls, E load, 32" overall diameter. Good reviews online. Just took them offroad this weekend, loose rocks, inclines, etc ... did great. Real quiet on the road too. Several adds at WalMart beyond the price of the tire ... I looked at those Wrangler Authorities as well. Low $800s for the C load tire, low $900s for the E load. The complaint online with the C load Authority was the thin sidewall. The absolute cheapest AT tire I found was the Hankook at Discount Tire for $108 in the 265/75r16. But, it's not as aggressive looking in person, and it's a C load. The Falken seemed like a much better buy short of a BFG KO.

You do not need anything heavier than a C. D would be for a 3/4 ton, while an E would be for a 1 ton.
