Just like we were "handed" 96 points on the season. The Flames may not have ended the season on a high note, but they did what they had to stay ahead of the Avs. Winning 6 staight games late in March against teams like the wings, preds, nucks and wild. 4 games on the road and we all know how bad they suck on the road.

yup, that's absolutely correct. I swear that any time he started, the Avs needed at least 4 goals to win because he automatically gave up 3 a night. I remember talking to my dad in December saying that the Avs were no where near a cup contending team. They were at the end of the season. They went 10-0-2 in the last 12 road games. That's incredible. Their road record was almost identical to their home record, and that's where I think they lost it.

Budaj is by no means flashy, but he has the basics down as good as anyone in the league, except for maybe Brodeur and Luongo.
