Heres the scoop for the keeper: League Name: XOC Keeper League ID#: 2912 Password: ianfirth Draft Type: Live Draft Draft Time: Fri Sep 2 4:00pm PDT Max Teams: 20 Scoring Type: Head-to-Head Max Moves: No maximum Max Trades: No maximum Trade Reject Time: 2 days Trade End Date: March 16, 2006 Waiver Time: 2 days Trade Review: League Votes Min Goalie Appearances: 4 Lineup Change Deadline: Daily - Tomorrow Start Scoring on: Week 1 Roster Positions: C: 2 LW: 2 RW: 2 D: 4 G: 2 BN: 8 IR: 2 for a total of 20 players. 12 you MAY keep for next year, but you may choose to keep less. Stat Categories: G, A, +/-, PIM, PPG, PPP, SHG, SHP, GWG, SOG, SH% Goalie stats: W, GAA, SV, SV%, SHO Now, bare in mind we will finalize some more keeper related rules in the next couple weeks(before the draft) for instance the terms of the next draft, how it will be handled, reserving players in case of an "expansion" draft and draft order... but the 2005-2006 XOC Keeper League is now open for business GO HERE To sign up.

"Team Sasquatch" on board in the keeper league. Thanks for setting it up, Toddrick. Looking forward to it.
I'm interested in the non-keeper league as well.

I always prefer a live draft. That's one of the big reasons I love playing fantasy sports...the live draft! Autodraft sucks.

looks like if you aren't at the live draft, it will autodraft for you based on your pre-rankings or yahoo rankings if you don't prerank.
Livedraft it is then. those who want to be live, be live, those who can't be there, make sure you prerank, or just deal with yahoo's rankings.

OK, here is the non-keeper...I tried to make it similar to the keeper exept for the obvious not keeping of players after the season. I also have just listed as 2 centers and 4 wings, so we are not restricted by leftside/right side. I also made draft day the same day at 3pm eastern, so you left coast guys can be there at lunchtime and it will give us east-coasters a much needed break late on a friday afternoon. If anyone has any questions or we can agree on a change as a league, I'll be happy to make the changes...good luck, and GAME ON!
League ID #: 3852 League Name: XOC Non Keeper Password: xochockey Draft Type: Live Draft Draft Time: Fri Sep 2 3:00pm EDT Max Teams: 20 Scoring Type: Head-to-Head Max Moves: No maximum Max Trades: No maximum Trade Reject Time: 2 Trade End Date: March 16, 2006 Waiver Time: 2 days Trade Review: League Votes Post Draft Players: Follow Waiver Rules Weekly Deadline: Daily - Tomorrow Start Scoring on: Week 1 Roster Positions: 2C,4W,4D,2G,8BN 2IR Stat Categories: G, A, +/-, PIM, PPG, PPP, SHG, SHP, GWG, SOG, SH%, W, GAA, SV, SV%, SHO

Thanks for setting up the non-keeper league, jersey. "Team Sasquatch II" on board.
I would have liked to see the draft day pushed back a few weeks...just in case someone gets injured in training camp or in exhibition games. Right now the draft is 9/2, and opening night is 10/5. That's a lot of time for injuries to pop up. JMO.

JMO. tried to make it early to build excitement, but I understand your point. rally the troops and if we get enough saying the same, I will definitely push it back if that's what we all want.

yeah i say push back the non-keeper.
also 2 IR spots in the non-keepr may be too many... but its your call... we had 1 last time and it made for some tense moments...

ok...that's 2 out of 3 for pushing back draft day. I like the tension 2 IR brings, but again,if we all decide differently, I'm open to changing it.

MBFlyers! are in the keeper!
If the draft is at 4pm Pacific, what time does that make it on the east coast? Also, can we add a goalie? We each had three last year and I though that was a good thing?

I know at one point last time i had 4 goalies.

I may be able to get a few who are not part of the board. Let me know before I ask.

its not too late...
BUT if you join the keeper. plan to play again next year...
im thinking teams are teams, just like in the NHL... the owner/manager doesn't matter much... if we lose a manager between this season and next we will first try and find a manager to take over that team... before starting any "expansion" teams.

imagine a keeper as a little closer to "real life" its a closer simulation to being a real team owner because you need to look long term... you need to look at young guys that will be good in the future... also you don't just dump a guy because he gets hurt... you keep him on the roster or on the injured reserve because he will be usefull later. same with under acheivers... a great player may have a bad season... but you wouldnt want to get rid of him becaus ehe just had some bad luck(like forsberg in 2003)
