So I got back from being in Kansas for a month on work. We are in a rush to get home so I accidentally leave my backpack in the truck which was parked inside the company's alarmed garage. I realized my mistake as soon as I got home and called the boss to let him know and hopefully to go get it out. He assured me its ok and I could come and get it on monday. Monday rolls around and I find that my backpack has been stolen from the fucking truck! I lost my laptop, had to cancel a big ass paycheck, and lost my real keys for the X and my house. This all really sucks. I filed a police report and I am trying to have the company pay me for the loss. Any ideas of what to do? Im planning on going down to houston and checking the pawn shops nearby the office today.

Your boss owes you a new laptop.

I would assume someone in the company stole it.

Yeah I know they owe me one, of course their position so far is, "How can we know it was actually stolen from the truck?" Im hoping the guy I drove back with noticed it back there during the trip so I have a witness. The only thing I cant really get back from the computer are all of the digital pictures Ive taken since I got my camera. Makes me wish I had backed them up somewhere else.
