Hey - there's Angolina Jolie, trying to round up prospective children to adopt...but they are running away because she is naked and chasing them with a big net....

Is anyone else watching this? There's a lion on it's back breathing very heavy. Did I miss something? Did it get attacked?

Earlier tonight there were about a half dozen loins in the area. That brought out a couple of truckloads of safari types and the lions were active.
The one laying was pretty excited with all the comotion. I thought I heard noises when the trucks were hovering around him but I couldn't identify them.
(As I type this another truck cruised by the lion in the picture)
The camera is actually pointed behind where we normally see and is panning the area. There is a herd of wildabeast to the top right of the watering hole that doesn't seem to be very nervous about lions being in the area. I'm guessing that as it starts to get towards midday, it's getting hotter and he's feeling the heat.
Hence the heavy panting.

I guess those wildabeast should have been paying better attention. Anyone catch the kill?

That is friggin sweet Oh, now I see the dead Wildabeast. I guess you actually didnt see the kill. I bet when it cools off some he'll have some dinner.

Edit to add at 8:38am cst: I hope some of you all got a chance to watch the "Wilda-Feast." It's still going on now but these lions have some full freekin bellies! The king does anyway. Wow, this africam is really cool. I finally managed to check the link when it was daylight in Africa, and I actually watched as the remote camera operator panned and zoomed on stuff. All of the other times I've visited the site, I only saw bugs flying across the screen in night-vision mode (pretty boring).
Amazing that I can watch live African wildlife from 1/2-way around the world!

Well, the buzzards must signal the departure of the lions. Now the mooselookingstripedwildabeasttypethingies are back in a small pack but they are jumpy as hell. Vultures: So uhm, you heard? Mooselookingstripedwildabeasttypethingies: No what? Vultures: We've had lions around here lately. Mooselookingstripedwildabeasttypethingy: (looks left, looks right, scanning the savanah) Lions you say. Vultures: Ah yheap. L-i-o-n , Lions. Mooselookingstripedwildabeasttypethingy: Crap. That must be why we can't find Steve. Vultures: Was Steve a mooselookingstripedwildabeasttypethingy? Mooselookingstripedwildabeasttypethingy: YEAH! Have you seen him? Vultures: You could say that.
