How's that statement incorrect? Do we not have military bases all over the world? Aren't we the only nation who does? How many British, German, Japanese, Korean, Indian, Middle Eastern bases do the other world nations have? How many are on our soil? How many strategically placed military installations does any other nation have compared to us? How many other nations economy reside on ours? When is the last time we saw chinese jets fly over american soil, or African navy off of our shores? Where is the head of the U.N. housed? Seriously to say we do not have an "empire" is ridiculous no matter what side you are on or what your political belief is. We are the defacto superpower left in the world.
