Just a pet peeve about the Xterra and new cars in general. I was raised by southern parents, so I was always taught manners were important.
I'm always opening doors for women, and I always open and close the door for my fiancee when she is riding in my vehicle. But when I looked at the base models of many new cars, they have no passenger door lock.
If you were raised to open the door for your gal, you either leave the car unlocked all the time, spend the extra thousand bucks or so for power door locks and keyless entry, or fork out a few thousand more for a higher trim line.
To me, this is nuts. What good reason is there for omitting the passenger door lock? The parts and assembly in the factory can't be that much.
