was wondering if anyone has seen any probs arise from the extra weight that comes with adding a shrock bumper.

Nope. They only weigh about 50- 60 lb more than the stuff you take off, so its not that much of a difference. The rear made even less difference for me, as I also had the factory tow package to come off, as its replaced by the receiver in the rear bumper.

no, no problems. There was slight differences in MPG, but all in all not bad.
After the sliders and front bumper I noticed a 0.6 MPG drop. After the rear bumper and full skids I noticed a 0.4 MPG drop.
So, fully Shrocked out cost me 1 MPG.

.... Yup that's right....no difference at all...the Stock Bumper Assembly weighs around 45 Lbs or so (on a '02-'03 Xterra anyway)....so minus that with the weight of that Shrock Bumper and it will be around 60 Lbs....shit, you'll probably have some Fat Buddies that will take up most of the weight...

The only reason I am hesitant to add one (other than the 1000 price tag) is that I dont want to modify anything else like suspension. It wont wear down my front coils and shocks over time?
I also want one because I love having my KC's up front, and ignoring everyones adice I installed a bull bar in order to mount them. The other day at work we had to park on the lawn because they are redoing our parking lot. I tried to go over a curb and BANG i destroyed my front licence plate. Bull bars suck, I want a shrock

I have the AC coils up front, so I don't know how it would react with the stock springs. My guess is that everything sags over time, the additional pounds on a front bumper might cause the front to sag a bit quicker than without. By that time you will probably be in need of new front shocks anway.

IMO the stock coils are too soft if your serious about wheelin' anyway.
Add a front bumper, skids, then a winch like most end up doing and the extra weight starts to add up.
If you're just going for more looks than maybe the stock coils will work out with a front steel bumper, could always try it 1st and upgrade later if needed.

do you have a link for those AC coils? I feel like those might be something that I would want to add anyways with or without a front bumper install. Do they at all alter the pinion angle of the front drive shaft or cause any sort of problems?

The front is is independent, so changing the springs don't change pinion angles. It does change the CV angles, but not out of Nissan specs. www.4x4parts.com is where you get the coils. They do ride rougher than stock, but I personally like the feeling.
