Xterrian Member Registered: 08/12/00 Posts: 2014 Loc: Fort Lewis, WA	Can't remember if I posted over here about my second trip to Poamoho hunting area on Oahu Hawaii. I decided to put my Xterra in a hole that I would have less than a 1% chance of negotiating completely so I could practice using my winch in a controlled situation. Even though I checked the depth of the hole prior to entry I was suprised at how deep it was. Guess I didn't get the stick into the deepest part of the ruts. About 14 inches. A Defender 90 is rated to 20" and a Hummer is 24" and 30" (depending on the model), and both are designed for serious off road work, unlike an SUV. I don't know the exact depth Nissan says, but they don't recommend going deeper than the hubs.
