What could be more American than wheeling' on the 4th of July holiday weekend?

Pictures of Snoopy & the Toolbox on the Dishpan Springs/Deep Creek (3n34) & Holcomb Creek (3n93) trails in Lake Arrowhead/Big Bear, CA with SD4W , many of them originally thought these difficult black diamond trails where too tough for Xterras wo/ lockers.

Near the end of day somebody asked did you guys see the Xterras take on Moab article in this months (Aug) 4 wheeler? Yup, Moab is the best we said as Snoppy pulled out his copy from his truck :-)

Toolbox and I had a great day showing that an Xterra is capable of making it through some pretty tough stuff. We obviously chose easier lines than the much more capable jeeps but in the end we all finished the trail together. No winching or tugging was required to get us through. Enough said.

Enjoy smile

Bn,

Yeah, I hate you too wink but hope to see you for GOX3. Eager to make up to ‘soda one of these days for a few weeks to enjoy all those Lakes and Voyageurs NP.

Snoopy,

Yeah it’s always great wheelin’ with you & other Nissans on the trails smile I enjoyed/appreciate meeting, seeing, and participating with the SDW4 crowd and all the positive things they do for the off-road community.

Interesting that almost every spectator and other vehicles we passed by that weren’t with the group had a question, compliment, or amazed look on their faces laugh

Rat,

The other trail is Holcomb Creek (3n93) which is very close by and features a couple of rock gardens and other fun stuff.

Yeah its extremely dusty now and the trails are getting chewed up. We’ve had the driest season (on record) in over a hundred years (4.3”) this past season. Winter wheelin’ in the snow, ice, muck make those trails really interesting eek
