"Sorry about the long delay in responding... had some troubles with my server connection.......
I have a Nissan 720 with a total of about 3.5" of lift to solve the problem of angle on the front half shafts (one of mine was longer than the other) I twisted the mounting of the front diff so that the long side pointed upward somewhat ( about 4 degrees) I took the cv apart and removed the snap rings on the outer end of the trunion (got about 3 degrees from that) and did some special grinding on the inside of the cv housing ( got another 3 degrees from that) all told it added up to about another 10 degrees of flex across 20" that allowed for another 3" of droop on my axle. I also made some short spacers to mount between my half shaft and the drive flanges in the diff to make up for the extra length required from lifting.
This was a lot of work and required a lot of experimentation. Want to let you know it is not something I will do comercially.
Hope this helps,
Best Regards,
Tom Wood "
