It's all true, but it won't be built anytime soon. The X might get the engine for '04, and the lockers might come too, but I'll believe it when I see it.
Meanwhile, the E-locker is supposed to be available as an aftermarket item sometime this year, probably late, but again, I'm not holding my breath. It should happen eventually.

That is what Eaton said last year to, to give some perspective. I heard they put it off indefinetly or something.

Hello there! Unfortunately, the ELocker for the Nissan XTerra
will not be offered in the aftermarket until (at the earliest) some time in
2004 (subject to change).
