I went out 4 wheeling last night in the snow and while I was driving home, my front ent started shaking very badly. I didn't hit anything or run over anything and I didn't hear anything break. When I got home, I looked underneath and everything is frozen... covered in ice. Could that be causing the shaking? I hope so!!!

Most likely there is ice and snow packed inside your wheels. The same thing can happen with mud. You can try cleaning it out at the local hand carwash, but your best bet would be to take the wheels off and make sure there is nothing stuck inside the rims.

Yeah that Ice is a Beatch. Stuck my nose in a 2 1/2 foot snow bank up in the hills and by the time I was driving down the road I was shaking as well. But the next day after everything melted all was good. Even on the interstate and in cold weather again I had no problem. I hate the ABS shake when sliding to a stop but oh well.

I let my truck sit in the garage and everything melted... no more shaking.

It will happen again. Mud does it really badly when you get in your wheels. If your tires are balanced with the little weights on the outside of the rim what do you thing tons of mud, snow or ice will do. I usually expect it after everytime I go offroad now. I like to get burried deep in mud though laugh One time I had so much mud I couldn't do over 35. Sucks sometimes since I have to find a car wash to hose them out before I can get on the freeway and head home.
