There used to be some Pa guys in the club. That is part of the reason it is the New Jersey *Area* Xterra club (the other part being some New Yorkers). Based upon the turnout at ECXC this year, I am hoping that we can grow the club, and do some club runs again in the near future.

Maybe for those of you in central/south Jersey area. But up in the north we seem to be coming back, with a couple of guys from Clifton, a guy or two from the sussex county area, myself from Passaic County, and I think a few guys that I just met at ECXC. Also, we have a guy from Queens that crosses the river sometimes.

For any of you NJAX or would-be NJAX members, I am planning on heading out to Rausch on August 22 to watch the RC Rocks competition, and to camp there that night and wheel on Sunday. You all are welcome to come out.

The RC Rocks competition is really sick -- much more extreme than the ECXC competition. You can expect to see carnage, and several roll overs on the course.

who would have thought that the re-incarnation of the club would have come from 2 blocks from where I used to live

You all missed a really good time. The competition was outstanding to watch. Some really good driving by the competitors, some really outrageous rigs, and number of roll overs. At the end of the day, there was an attempt by one of the drivers to get his rig up a nearly vertical wall to win funds for a charity. The driver took out his own rig, and had to borrow another rig for the rest of the allotted time. He ended up taking out the borrow rig, too. After the competition, they had food, a band, and fireworks. Well worth the effort of getting there. Sunday was a beautiful day for wheeling.
