Anyone know of a place close to the island that we can all meet? I'd really like for us to go in as one big group. How far is the west P&R from the east side one?

About 20 minutes apart. There has got to be a closer area for us to meet. How about a parking lot downtown? We will miss driving through town, but will catch the latter part of town and pull into the island together. The lot I'm thinking of is at 3rd and Cary. I'll post directions if you all would like.

How about this...

Meet at the parking lot between 4th and 5th Streets and Canal and Cary Streets at 7:30am. This will allow us to stroll down to Brown's Island by 8am. This will keep us all in a group and keep some of us from crossing the city a few times.

Sweet, that sounds good. VAterra will be leading our group from the Microtel Airport. He is from Richmond, so hopefully he knows the way.

It's a little hard to get a count from XF, because some of us jump back and forth.

I'd say that there is about 5 people from XF who have not been on the list here.

HokieX - Am I reading the map correct? Is it exit 75 off of I-64?

Looks like a straight shot a couple blocks from the interstate.

That's correct. It's also labeled, 3rd Street Downtown, Coliseum. Something along those lines. From 64, it's the Middle lane when you get at the edge of the city.

Would those coming from the West and North like to meet at the PNR I mentioned earlier, say 7ish, and head into town? Meeting the East and Southern folks at the parking lot.

Doug703 - If you hit exit 75 off 64 coming from up north, you'll be going around the city about 20 minutes out of the way.

The locals have come up with plan. For those East and South of Richmond, you guys will be meeting VAterra at the PNR by the Airport. For those West and North or Richmond, you'll be meeting me at the PNR off I-64 at Gaskins and Mayland at 7am. The two groups will plan on meeting by 7:30am at the parking lot downtown that I mentioned above and all ride into the compound as one big group.

Sound good to everyone. This way we will eliminate anyone having to cross the city. (Thinking about everyone's gas )

Cool, sounds like we got everything set up then. Talked to Boarderphreak and he said he's gonna try to get me a tally from there neck of the woods. He thinks there will probably be about 5 or so.

I PM'd warlock about those 6 coming from Dynamic Racing. Haven't heard from him yet. If they are coming, we are gonna have a huge convoy.

That's a lot of Xterras. Can't wait to see them all downtown on the island on Sat. Seems like the female Xterra owners are under-represented, makes me think I should bring mine. Mine is stock and very dirty right now. Are there any stock Xterras going to be on the island if I consider joining in?

Are the trucks commited to staying on the island all day?

I will be there with mine. Stock as the day it came out of the factory.

I'm sure there will be several stock trucks there. Come on out and join us. The more the merrier. I'm sure if you need to leave they will let you go. I can't remember for sure but I think the last 2 years we were outta there in the early afternoon.

Showing up is the most important thing. Stock/clean/dirty, it doesn't matter - meeting and having a good time... yeah!

one more thing. I plan on marshalling the urban assult on Sat morning. So can I just leave my truck unattended most of the day? Aside from getting there at the crack of dawn at least I don't have to fight for a parking place and have easy acces to my bike and gear. This sounds ok to me. If I decide to show up then I'll meet the rest of ya'll at the downtown parking lot.

Sure - it's on an island, in plain view of everyone, surrounded by people (many of whom will be other Xterra owners). Better than most parking lots
