In what is the shortest turnaround of Best In The Desert's racing season, racers only have 41 days between the end of the longest race of the year (Vegas to Reno) and this weekends Vegas 300. This gives teams precious little time to repair all the damage done during the longest offroad race in the United States. Fortunately Team Xterra Racing's vehicle made it through V2R with only minor damage and is back and ready to rock and roll.
Last years Las Vegas 300 brought with it some heavy rains, course rerouting and a grand prix finish which kept the XterraRacer from finishing any more than a single lap around the course...
This year, sitting third in the 3100 class standings, the XterraRacer hopes to close the gap on Mike Falkosky's Explorer and Rod Hall's H3 teams.
Being home in NH again for this race (after chasing and co-driving during V2R) I will be providing updates beginning on Friday 10/5 during contingency and the race itself on Saturday 10/6 on not only the XterraRacer but the entire 3100 class as I maintain contact with our pit crew and chase teams throughout the day. You can follow along on our home forum at:
TXR Forum... and can watch the gps tracking of the race at
Race The World as the #3112 XterraRacer goes for three laps around the 82 mile course...
