This is our 5th time around with the AZ Run. This one is 6 days and 5 nights of overland adventure across central Arizona. We have some good trails picked out.

Damn DR, if I already didn't have 2 weeks off (1 for EJS, 1 for GONE) I'd be all over that.

Perhaps I'll rethink EJS next year, as GONE is at a different time now.

It looks (judging from the forums) that it's not really Xterras, but more highly modified hard body trucks.. I could be wrong?

It's an all inclusive Nissan Run. There will be a handful of Xterras. Yes, most trucks on the run are modified more than your average X is on GOX - it's a more hardcore run.

There's only a couple HB's. Several Pathfinders. A few Frontiers. A few Xterras. A couple Toyotas, and one Jeep registered so far.

Spend some time on the forums on N4W. Look at the writeups from years past.
