I have both my front and rear swaybar in my basement.....they have been there for about 6 months! Sure the X does lean like crazy...but once you get used to it you dont even really notice it. However, I had a buddy of mine tell me that every turn that I make it looks like I am gonna roll!!!
If you're talking about the front (I assume you are), then all you need to do is yank the end links, you can leave the bar hanging there. It will occasionally bang into the A-arm, but it's no biggie.

Thanks Goth.... Here is my attempt at a disconnect. Used the extra wing nuts from my Yakima adapters for easy removal and added urethane bushings. Got a little drenched from the rain during my install, but I couldnt wait for it to stop.
