#426637 - 21/04/06 06:56 PM $650 for Daystar lift & Installation!

I recently visited a local 4WheelParts store to inquire the cost for the Daystar 2.5" lift for an 05 Xterra. The sales rep quoted me $650 for parts and labor! I couldnt believe he was charging $350 to install spacers/shackle and alignment.

What is a fair price to install this kind of a lift?

Uh, free? Well, the alignment will run you a bit, but the install is beyond simple.

Well if the install takes 3 hours, then that $350 is in the ball park for around here. At $100 per hour plus the alignment.

That sounds about right for install on that type of equipment. Even a dealership who does standard repairs is uasually around $85 an hour, so for a shop that specializes in offroad stuff........

If you know what you're doing and you've got the time its pretty easy to do in the driveway. Take your money saved and get some sliders.
