I am having a hard time finding a leveling kit for my 2002 X. Does anybody know what I can do or know if there are even leveling kits available?

The are no official leveling kits. If you want to raise the front you can just adjust the torsion bars (look for direction in backyard mechanic). If your back is sagging then you can add shackles ($50 from Calmini) or Add A Leafs, which is a little more expensive.

There are a few other choices there and whatnot.

Thanks for the input! Do you know if the leveling kits for the frontiers will work for the xterra as well?

I'm with C man. I think I made it somewhat clear before. Sorry for confusion, I guess.

Crank the t-bars which will level out the front and be done with it. Well, an an alignment when you're done cranking.

"Leveling Kit" is industry double speak for "Lift Kit"...much like "Sport Bar" = Roll Bar, etc.

Anyway - the X is designed from the factory to run a bit nose down, for steering, braking, and load carrying reasons.

If you "Level" it, you are changing that....but, some people go for the "Look" over function....

Anyway - if you want to raise the front end ("Level" the X...), just adjust the T-Bars...the factory built in an adjustment for you, as t-bars sag with time...and its purpose is to let you compensate for that.

The X is set up for about a 1" lower nose than tail, and the T-Bar adjustment can go about 1.5" HIGHER than "level".

So - if you want it level...its a free adjustment you can easily do in the driveway, etc.

If you want a lift, it just depends on how high you want to go.

Are you really meaning to want it "level", or do you want the entire truck to sit higher?

I really want to lift the X for clearance while I save for the Lift Kit. I was looking for a quick fix and everybody has been very helpful!

OK - For ground clearance:

The PML

.... then crank the T-bars to get 1.5" more in front, and swap on longer shackles, 6" eye to eye, to give a total of 1.5" inches more in back to match.

The 1.5" Calmini Lift Shackles work fine for that.

About $50 in parts for a 1.5: lift.

After the PML - get a new wheel alignment...or you'll eat the outside edges of the front tires.
