Alingment changed the rake..

Quick question as i got my x aligned on friday and told them it was leaning, could they adjust it. So they bumped the front up making both sides measure 34 1/2 floor to fender thought it was great but then realized the back is sitting dead on 35. 1/2 inch of play.
So i got high beamed 6 times in 25 miles, but other then that will there problems?
I thought i read in here somewhere the rake should be at least an inch or so. Jay
I would love to lift the back but then i do not think i would fit in the garage.

Well, you COULD pull into the garage and look for the low point, say where the handle pull is, etc...and just measure the distance from the truck's top at that point. If its more than 1.5", you are golden for the PML. $50 for the shackles...then just have them do the alignment again, but tell them to just leave 1/2" clearance on the upper bumpstop.

I don't think getting flashed is due to your height adjustment. The headlights, for some reason, seem to come out of the factory aimed a bit high. There are quite a few old posts covering the topic. It's an easy adjustment.

TJ,
If i bump the back up it will need a new alignment again?
I actually have helper springs on the rear givings 1/2 inch of lift.
I was thinking take them off and go the AAL route. Which would put me at 1.5 rake and extra capacity. But Nissanparts no longer offers the aal's.
Or i could just take it back in and have them lower the front a bit. Anybody ever use blocks? Ill search that next. J

Blocks are bad...and should be avoided. Yes - you'd need a new alignment...as the front end goes up and down, the camber and toe for example go through a range of motion...so for a given ride height, there would be a specific alignment needed to give good tire wear, handling, etc. Or just leave the suspension alone, and aim the headlights down a bit with the headlight adjustment screws built into the headlight assembly.

I gotcha the hole pivot angle would change as you change the rear ride height.
I think i will take it back and heve them lower the fron about 1/2 inch. It will sit nose high if i put anything in the trunk.
I will wait a little bit and allow for the torsion adjustment to settle.
Thanks Tj

I don't usually get high-beamed but I see people flipping down their rearview mirror or putting a had over their side view mirror when I pull up behind them.

As they dive for the sidewalks or ditches running for cover, I usually don't have time to notice if they were reacting to the lights or not. I could go back and ask some I suppose...

Sure - I work for a bunch of banks too checking on water damage/mold/IAQ issues. I think there's a Wachovia out there you might have seen me at? Stop by and say hi! if you see me. Did it look like this one?

Heres an idea, why dont you adjust your headlights? Its one thing to be lifted, its another to be inconsiderate and unsafe when driving. There is nothing worse then having an on-comming truck with misaligned lights. Do the lift properly please, align your lights, you make it sound cool that people are hibeaming you. Hahah im so cool that im too lazy to get my headlights aligned or too dumb to figure it out myself. Im on my period yes, and you were the first stupid thing i read this morning.

Just pop the hood and adjust your headlights properly, and be done with it.
We're talking 2 minutes of quality time getting it right, and you're all finished. No reason to adjust the suspension because the headlights are aimed high... Headlights are adjustable for a reason!!!
