Hello, I am a noob on here, I just bought a 2007 Nissan Xterra model S with 4WD (auto transmission). I don't even have 350 miles on the thing and sometimes when I start the vehicle I hear a hissing sound coming from the engine. I assume it's a belt - because it sounds like a noise that a spinning belt would make (it's almost squeaking, but more hissing). However, the noise goes away it seems after some time, like when the engine warms up. Is this something I should be worried about? is it just because it's a new vehicle/belt in cold weather? I don't know.
Thanks for your time.
