I would like to thank everyone who participated in goneMOAB. Other than one cold rainy day we had great weather and great trail runs.
A special thanks to our trail bosses; (Lloyd, Carlton, Steve Kramer (Calmini), Dan (aka DBAX), Steve (aka AreoSteve), and Woody.
Although the trail boss is critical to pulling things along, sometimes it’s the guy pushing things along that makes the difference. In this case it was mostly Allen (Cyclemutt). Allen not only pulled up the end of the line as a tail gunner, but also acted as the trail tech. I saw him fix first hand; my electric fan issue, a busted brake line, rear u-joint, 2 front axles. He also gave advice and helped spot. Thanks for your help Allen.
This was a bit of transition year for goneMOAB. This was the first year that the event was moved off of EJS, we added a raffle and Ian stayed home to sleep. Going forward, you are going to see the event grow and change even more. As the attendance increases we are going to give folks more choices in trail runs and hopefully more participation from Nissan and suppliers.
Lastly I would like to thank the companies that stepped up and helped sponsor the event. Staun USA, Sears (OSH), PEP Boys, Extreme Outback, The Arizona Nissan Dealers Assoc, and Calmini (the only manufacture/supplier to attend) all donated to the raffle. Courtesy Nissan picked up lunch for the Wednesday trail runs, and Nissan NA who picked up dinner on Tuesday night and gave away some very nice Nissan Xterrra backpacks. We are always looking to adding more sponsors for next year.
Once again, thank you for another great year.
