I would like to thank everyone who participated in goneMOAB. Other than one cold rainy day we had great weather and great trail runs.

A special thanks to our trail bosses; (Lloyd, Carlton, Steve Kramer (Calmini), Dan (aka DBAX), Steve (aka AreoSteve), and Woody.

Although the trail boss is critical to pulling things along, sometimes it’s the guy pushing things along that makes the difference. In this case it was mostly Allen (Cyclemutt). Allen not only pulled up the end of the line as a tail gunner, but also acted as the trail tech. I saw him fix first hand; my electric fan issue, a busted brake line, rear u-joint, 2 front axles. He also gave advice and helped spot. Thanks for your help Allen.

This was a bit of transition year for goneMOAB. This was the first year that the event was moved off of EJS, we added a raffle and Ian stayed home to sleep. Going forward, you are going to see the event grow and change even more. As the attendance increases we are going to give folks more choices in trail runs and hopefully more participation from Nissan and suppliers.

Lastly I would like to thank the companies that stepped up and helped sponsor the event. Staun USA, Sears (OSH), PEP Boys, Extreme Outback, The Arizona Nissan Dealers Assoc, and Calmini (the only manufacture/supplier to attend) all donated to the raffle. Courtesy Nissan picked up lunch for the Wednesday trail runs, and Nissan NA who picked up dinner on Tuesday night and gave away some very nice Nissan Xterrra backpacks. We are always looking to adding more sponsors for next year.

Once again, thank you for another great year.

-Doug

Yes.. What he said.

We can not thank enough Calmini, Courtesy Parts, Nissan and the other companies that help support this event.

And more important are all the people who come out to run the trails.

As Doug stated this was our first year to do the event outside of the EJS event. Seeing as there was little to no traffic on the trails and finding places to stay in town was easy, I think you will see that future goneMOAB dates will fall outside of EJS.

Once again.. Thanks to all that attended. I hope you had a good time and look forward to seeing you next year.

I would like to thank you guys who put the event together. Its not easy to plan an event like this and make it so great. This was my first year and I was very impressed with the way the entire week was put together. I definetly plan on attending next year and it was great to meet some of the people behind the computer. Thanks again for such a great week and to everyone who helped me out.

Allen I still owe you a beer for fixing my brake line and anther one for all the spotting you did for me.

Andy and Todd thanks for giving me great lines to follow on the trails.

Oh yeah and thanks to Steve from Calmini for helping me get through the later half of golden spike.
