Will this be held simultaneously with EJS 2003? Which is mid/late April?

Or, will this be held when room rates are lower? Just starting to think about spring trips. Must negotiate dates off with spouse.

Well, I am hearing that I might be required to take 3 weeks off next year....(no pay), so I am looking at the options. This is a small issue as compared to those without jobs (all the IT guys says thanks to the shrub).

The later dates of EJS should make camping more of an option.

I tried the goneMOAB website, but it was down/gone/or something. Looking forward to getting out next year. I may look at a couple road trips next year, maybe Canadian Rockies, Baja, or similar. If I have to take a "voluntary furlough", I might as well have some fun.

Just booked my room at the Ramada Inn - rates go from $42 - $99 in the same week because of Jeep Safari..........desk clerk told me the whole town doubles all the prices that week. Nice town, glad to see they are no different then home.

As a first timer (or potential) any pre-reads suggested or tips from those who went last year?

thanks in advance

We are trying to arrange for a common meeting place for staging (and perhaps sleeping quarters) More info will be released as soon as we get it.

It looks like this GONE is going to be a blast.

There are some trails (White Rim Trail) that a 2wd could do.

As Roger stated though.. There should be plenty of extra seats to ride shotgun if you want to see some of the more difficult trails.

By the end of this month we will have a minimum requirements listing for the trails that we will be running. (this will however not be a complete list of all the trails in the area)

There really aren't any trails a 2WD can drive in Moab, even White Rim has a section that would have to be taken downhill. If it rained, or snowed, you could be stuck for days.

The trails for goneMOAB are all 3-4 rated, and require a 4WD, 2WD vehicles will not be permitted on any trail runs.

R&R if you don't want to park the truck at the crash pad and want to ride than you are welcome to ride with me. I will be traveling solo to MOAB. Let me know and we will make plans. The more the merrier.
