What is the range of cost for this event? I saw 30 for registration, but it said cost undetermined yet. I think I may go this year.

The fees that you're looking at are: camping, wheeling at two different parks (up to three days,) food, and gas.

I'd say, depending on the food you eat, the beer you drink, and where you're coming from the trip could easily be done under $500.

That may be a high estimate, but you may have $200-250 (or more) in gas.

Not factoring your gas, you're looking about about $200, IIRC. For more info, hop over to
ECXC (Best Xterra Wheeling Event East of the Mississippi)

There is a forum there, once you sign up (does not imply commitment *until you pay*) you will have access and can look for more accurate information.

Hope that helps!

Well for me - after signing up right after the dates were announced, I became unemployed. Since the deposit wasn't due right away, I waited to send it in....

After becoming employed again, I totally forgot about the registration fee until recently.

My deposit is on the way as we speak

We had like 90 trucks or so last year, I'm hoping we break 100 this year.

I'm very interested in adding my Xterra to the herd, however, not sure if I can afford to or not. My question is, what expenses might I run into there? I read on the ECXC site that camping is fine, and I've got no problem throwing a mattress in my truck for a few days, and bringing a big cooler for food/beer. I know registration is 30 bucks, but what other expenses might I run into (excluding gas)?

Keeping things to a bare minimum it would be food and park fees....Which would vary depending on how many days you attend...you can go to each site--Rausch/Paragon and see what they charge and then figure your daily charges...
