I figure we can centralize a thread with pictures from this AWESOME event. I'll have mine up later tonight.

(I'm loathe to go near that truck for a few hours. I spent alot of time in her.)

Edit- Here's a link to my pictures.

Yep. It's a big mess. It seems all the important stuff stayed dry thanks to VERY quick action by Samueul and Dayspring. I was out of there in less than 60 seconds. It ran fine the rest of the day although it seems to be turning over slower now when starting. I don't know if I got muck in the starter or what. I dropped a new battery in just a little while ago and it seemed to improve some. I guess time will tell.

i did, but i didn't have quite as dramatic results. i think i tried the opposite side. i ended up getting stuck with about 3/4 of each tire buried. had to have a littel tug to get out. i don't have any pix of it, but there were a lot of cameras (and laughter) there. i hope shots will find their way to the boards.

So this is me standing in a 2ft hole which I wasn't expecting to be there when I got out of my truck. Kristina was nice enough to snap it:

Here are my pics

FRIDAY

Drivers were Trail leader Todd (not EOE Todd), Dave(Goliath),Frontier Gary, Coolerman, Pikachu, Mobycat, Cliff and myself

SATURDAY

Drivers were Trail leader SwampRat, Ken (01SalsaX), Mike (Steinism), Rich (MeWantSnow!), Cliff, Coolerman, Carlos, and myself.

It was a great time with 2 really FULL days of wheeling, I met all of you nice folks AND I won EOE tie rods laugh .

Big thanks to MAXC and to swampwrecker for hauling out all the goods for Saturday night [Too much XOC] . It was my wife's first time out and she was asking about all the mods I could/should be doing to the truck laugh

Enjoy the pics!

My father-in-law just bought a Mavica CD-400 that does that. Pretty slick, and you can adjust the timing between exposures. It also has a mode where you can manually shoot up to 10 frames and it will build an animated GIF out of them. Nice toy.

Here is the video I took at ECXC. For some reason I didn't get very much footage, about 20 minutes in total. It shakes a little bit sometimes, I think this is because my camera took too much of a beating this weekend.

The "Low" versions are pretty crappy. If you have a slow connection I suggest downloading the "High" ones.

Well, here they are...

Day 1 - Mitsu gets stuck in mud.
Low - 320x240
High - 640x480

Day 2 - Frontier Gary gets stuck in the same mud.
Low - 320x240
High - 640x480

I just don't get why someone would voluntarily drive into something like that. I'd rather not fill my drums and hubs etc. with nasty silty mud if I can avoid it.

That was an insane idea of trying to pull that truck at such a sharp angle (at least that is what it looked that they were going to do). Good thing they figured that out before they started pulling.

That was a messed up Pop Charger.. Glad to see that is did not let any of that crappy stuff through to the engine.

No, that wasn't the plan. Oleg pulled his truck halfway in so he can reach Mitsu's winch without being knee deep in mud. Yes, he could have ran in, but it wouldn't have been pretty.

that seemed to be the consesus of most of the guys there for ECXC. of everybody at the mudhole that day (8 trucks?) only rob and i played in the mudholes. i can't explain it. i like mud. i enjoy mucking about in it. i like the truck with a nice layer of mud splash on it. i don't mind cleaning it out of/off of the truck later. thus far, it hasn't bothered my alternator (i know...my day is coming). much less damaging for my un-armored truck than rock crawling (which i enjoy quite a bit too). guess i'm still stuck in that 8 year old boy "mud pie" phase.

That expression is priceless Dana. I hope it wasn't even intentional for the pic, because even then it gains more value laugh

I had no energy to wash my truck Sunday night so I just rinsed it off. With the drought restrictions here, we can't wash our cars/trucks during the week. frown

Nope, the expression is real. I spent at least two hours crawling under the X pulling out gobs and gobs of mud. Some of it was like concrete. It was at least 2 inches thick on top of my skid plates and baked dry by the engine heat. I had one hell of a time getting it out. Now the wife's pissed because I got the driveway all dirty. laugh

I still haven't tackled the carpet yet. I took the door panel off tonight to check out the speaker and other mud damage. It wasn't too bad. I got just about all the mud out of the door and speaker. I'll work on the carpet this weekend.

cool

Day 1 - Mitsu gets stuck in mud.
That was an insane idea of trying to pull that truck at such a sharp angle (at least that is what it looked that they were going to do). Good thing they figured that out before they started pulling.

That was a messed up Pop Charger.. Glad to see that is did not let any of that crappy stuff through to the engine.[/b]
Noone even thought about pulling him out at that angle, noone wanted to walk into the mud , so i drove in to get to Mitsu's Winch

Pop charger DID have some mud on inside, we washed it, and dry it with CO2 before puting it back on

pop charger sucks, too open for all that crap

The "Low" versions are pretty crappy. If you have a slow connection I suggest downloading the "High" ones.

Well, here they are...

Day 1 - Mitsu gets stuck in mud.
Low - 320x240
High - 640x480

Day 2 - Frontier Gary gets stuck in the same mud.
Low - 320x240
High - 640x480
