THANKS to Shrockworks

Note to Shrockworks;
Just wanted to say, THANK YOU. I’m a retired sales and marketing person and am new to Off-Roading with an ’06 Xterra. My first purchase was ShrockBars. This came after doing some research on XOC, SCCXTERRA, and thenewx.org. I even posted a “topic” under “Noob’s Nook” in XOC asking for advise.
I was hesitant at first not having installed anything like this before and certainly never have “drilled” into the frame of any car I have ever owned. My biggest thing, many years ago, was installing “duel exhausts” with “glass-pack mufflers”. So we just finished installing your ShrockBars and I am impressed.
* Thank you for making a quality product * Thank you for doing such quality welds * Thank you for doing excellent “Powder Coating” * Thank you for engineering the product for easy fit * Thank you for engineering the product for structural integrity, e.g. the front “L” bottom bolt, thickness of the steel, 30 degree angled sweep of the side tubes. * Thank you for hiring people who are willing to help you on the phone and offer suggestions * Thank you for packaging that allows the product to arrive the same way they left your factory.
I am not saying any other manufactures don’t make a good product; I cannot speak to that, what I am saying you and your people did a GREAT job.... So Thanks
Chuck K

Guys, what is the current price for these sliders? Also, from your experience, how are they when used as steps to help little people get in the truck? I want to ditch my stock bars but find actually them useful getting in and out of the car. How is the Shrockwork slider in terms of using it to get in the car? Also, can you dop a link to their website? Thanks!

Some people have applied different types of non-skid material to them but I've found they work fine as-is. (You said "car")

Little punks drink too much and smell bad anyway. And you know what else, they are not magically delicious, they are in fact tough and gamey. If you're talking about wives, kids, midgets or your average short dude, they work ok.

Got the sliders installed today ... very happy with the quality and amazed with the nice packaging. I spent as much time looking at those "molded foam" as the sliders ... lol. Jim, THANK YOU! ... will call you again once I save up for the skid plates and bumpers .

Ordered Front bumper and full slid plate package yesterday. Nice to see a Joe working a half day Saturday like me. Jim says he is now 4 weeks out! Apparently it was slow for awhile, but now we are doing our jobs swamping him with orders

One month wait for Shrock is typical. Try waiting 6+ months. It's always worth it in the end. Though I do have to give Jim another call as I am still missing some things for my rear bumper.

I just got my rear bumper in - was supposed to be here next monday, but fedex was hauling arse! 3 days from pickup to delivery! I was surprised at how many bolts, nuts, and washers came with this thing... I thought take old off, replace and slap a gate release on was it, apparently not.

Got my Shrockworks sliders. Nice engineering, nice packaging, easy install, quality product.
However who was the retard that packaged my nuts and bolts? Was missing a 1/2in nut, got an extra 3/8in washer, and got a 3/8in nut (this size is never used in the install). This didn't set me back as the hardware is commonly found for 10 cents.
Also why don't my sliders have the sweet Shrockworks sticker or paint on them, no free advertising for Shrock?
Also to any future people buying use the phone only, email is useless.
And powdercoating takes awhile.
Overall I am very happy though as my issues are very minor.
I would like to suggest that Shrockworks should provide an immediate copy of your purchase. I was also a little misled, as I was told on the phone it would be 2-3 weeks, ended up being 5 or 6, due to powdercoat.

I assume the hardware bags are filled by hand, if that is the case, I also assume that they just use bins of nuts and bolts to fill the order. I can see a few nuts, bolts or washers missing or having extras.
The "Shrockworks" logo on the sliders are just a sticker. Jim usually includes these stickers in the envelope with the hardware and instructions. If you did not get one, my guess is he is out of them. Drop him an email or call him and ask him to send one your way when he gets more.
It's always best to call and not email them if you want a quick response. Jim is usually pretty good about getting back to you via emails, but I am sure he gets swamped with emails. The internet should not replace the phone, though I wish it would.
Jim's time estimate always seems to be off by at least 2 weeks. I have ordered enough stuff from them now to learn, place the order and wait. I got my sliders in about 4 wheels when I ordered them. I got the front bumper in about 3 months and it took close to 6 months to get the skids and rear bumper. They are a small shop and do a lot of business. They pretty much build orders as they come in, so it takes time.

Yeah...they do have lots, and lots of orders coming in...they are swamped...when I went there to pick up my order, Jim was not there, but one of his guys told me, that they are backed up around a Month and more orders are coming in...the above photo is their Shop, and across their shop is their warehouse....they are a small outfit...and do remember, they also do stuff for Jeeps, and other vehicles besides Nissan....but I think Xterras and Frontiers are their Bread and Butter right now as we speak....Actually, I think Members of XOC should get a good discount, since most of their Nissan Customers are XOCer's....what do you think, Jim ?

Nice looking site. You need some rear bumper and skid info. Here is the best skid pic I have. Here is one of the better rear bumper pics. I made the 05 front bumper page twice!
