Just noticed that Calmini has updated their site!!! http://www.purenissan.com/5_suspension.htm I am very pleased with their price point, right where they had mentioned to some people and well worth every penny. With the previous Xterra a 3" lift and steering was pushing $1,500. Me HAPPY! I guess I don't have to mention that I'll be placing my order in the morning! SWEET!

OK, I'm a tool.
I deleted the huge rant i posted here... bitching about the design and the fact that i don't want a 4x4 slow mover kit on my 4x2 Frontier...
then i looked again and saw that little line about a 4x2 kit coming soon.
the one part of my rant that stands is this:
Will the components be offered seperately? for instance can I buy the spindles A La Carte? how bout the Spring Packs?
and do i have to take the shocks? or can i go else where for reseviors?

Not that it wouldn't be sweet.

Custom steering, custom suspension, new Drive shafts, new axles, some electrical issues need to be taken care of, relocating stuff on the front to make room for a steering box etc... etc... etc... wonder why the Frontier Kit is set up without blocks and shackles instead of Leafs and is $1,300?
seams odd that there would be any difference in the kits.

I'm very non mechanical so let me ask this dumb question. Are they going to use the factory coil up front? Look like there is a big spacer, but then again, I'm not so mechanical.

I am very impressed with the price. Looks like a very great complete kit. A full replacement leaf pack in the rear is a nice touch. Can't wait to start seeing 5inch next gen lifted Xterras running around now.
Rob, thats awesome your going to order it. Let us know how the install goes.
EDIT: I could really use those leaf packs for my SOA rear.

Frontier is spring over Xterra is spring under.[/b]and? that simply excludes the X from using the blocks, why should the frontier not use the leafs? or better yet, why doesn't the frontier kit come with leafs and the X kit come with SOA Brackets(if needed) or instructions(if its simple) like i said it would be nice if components were offered al a cart...

Does anyone know how much ground clearance is gained with this kit? I other words, how much is the front diff dropped in relation to the hubs. If it's no greater than current kits, I don't see a real offroad advantage. If wheel clearance is the only real gain, we haven't gained much. Our front diffs won't reliably handle much beyond 32's.

The issue does become a problem when you step up to a 35 with the D44 in the rear. The correct way to run 35s or larger is to do what PonyBoy did and upgrade both axles.
