Could you possibly post some extra pics of them on the X to show the additional room? I would like to see how much extra room it created just behind the front wheel's. If it open's up a lot then I can soon see myself giving you a call.

I am probably interested in a set as well (I crunched my passenger side on a tree) and would be interested in a set. Do you prepaint them by chance? Yellow please. I too am interested in the additional clearance all around. Do they come with any interior trim/lining or is that something we have to create?

I responded because SLR is the king of answering several questions at once, and I had additional questions....

My guess is that they're gel coat only (that is, YOU paint them) and that there's extra room by design - but not much "behind them" - unless of course, they pretty much replace just the outside skin of the fender, and leave the inner wall and/or plastic "flooring" in place.

If you notice they not only replace the steel fender itself but replace the plastic behind the wheel as well to form one integrated piece. My question is , that when these fenders were introduced at SEMA on the SLR Frontier they were presented with an aluminum inside fender well lip.

Was that a one off custom job or is that how they are going to look ? Will there be inside fender wells or no ?

i like them too but will the forward part of well line up to the sides of an ARB or Calmini bumper?

No steinism it wont. You can see in there photo that the front pre runner they have on there X was made to fit when they had the origional fenders on and you will notice that the bumper hangs about 3" furthur back then the fiberglass fender.

All you would have to do is simply cut the ARB at an angle to match the fenders.

im also concerned that they are listed as fitting 99-02 xterras...

the headlights, and thus the fenders are very different on 00/01 and 02 xterras... i would have to see a couple pics of these fenders on a 00/01 body style before i even consider buying them

I'm pretty sure the fenders are the same on the '02s. The shroud around the '02 turn signals looks to have the same contour as the original.

The fenders are the same on all models. The Hood on the other hand is very different along with the grill.

Anyway the Fenders are being drop shipped from Hanahan? who makes the fenders, and SLR said that it would be a week before they shipped so im looking at 2 weeks before delievery. I will post pics ASAP.
