Is it just me or are these people impossible to reach??
I've called numerous days in a row and got voicemail.
You can't order anything via their website.
Tried the email thing- that doesn't seem to work either.

So- where can I purchase the Bilsteins? I've wanted to order them since Monday. They aren't on the xterraparts.com website or the EOE website.
I really didn't think it would be this hard to give someone my money!
Any help?

How far away is Parker? I had similar problems with them also, though I was able to order the shocks, just could never get the UPS tracking number from them. I finally was able to get the tracking number via email the day the shocks arrived. They kept promising to call me back with the number, or they gave me the wrong tracking number (at first I thought they sent my shocks to Kentucky). Maybe Xterraparts.com need to become a distributor them too (you listening PartsPeddler?).

I've never had any problem when calling and my shocks got to me very quickly.

However, I think I heard that Spencer was out of town or something this week. It's not uncommon for small businesses to close down for a week or two at a time so the owner/worker can take a vacation or such. That's probably why you can't reach him. Seems he would leave a voice message to that effect though.

Spencer was in early in the week. I talked with him on Monday and Tuesday with question about my lift.

I haven't had a problem with them either. In fact, I just ordered their AAL's on Tuesday, and just got done putting them on the truck. And I didn't think I would have them for Friday at GONE MOAB. cool

It's unfortunate that you guys have had issues with them. I've been really pleased with their products and services thus far.

Maybe I'm over reacting, but you know how it is when you want to get some new toys for the X and are not able to.

btw- Thanks FRSBIKER for sending me that link!

I am having the same problem. I talked to them on Wednesday but I was not ready to order, I was at work and didn't have the time for a discussion. Now it is Friday and I get their answering machine. frown

Might be wrong, but didn't someone say Calmini and SLR were going to be at GoneX? That would account for the closed shop.

defib, you may want to give them a call back in an hour or so (it may have been a bit early for them being in Arizona and all... plus sometimes these shops don't start business till about 10 or so)

XRock,

Please understand that we are on Mountain time in Arizona.

I have been very busy building fixtures and production run parts.

We are getting very close to completion with our new website. This new site will be very complete with online ordering capabilities, installation instructions, and many new SLR designed and tested parts.

As far as email goes, SLR receives a high volume of email, so please be patient when waiting for a reply. Please call if the question is that important. I always return phone calls.

Please keep the comments coming. I would like to do whatever I can to make my customers happy.

We are in the office and ready to answer your questions.

So which ones did you decide on...did you go for the B46-1099HO 20% stiffer ones up front? I think those are a good choice for those that have caught the 4wheeling bug and who plan on installing more mods later on, with the extra weight of skids, sliders, bumpers, winches etc the stiffer shocks are the way to go.

I went with the 20% stiffer up front and the longer in back. It was what was recommended by SLR and what I figured out on my own by cruising this Xterra board and the AF board.

Good luck if you want bilsteins for the rear. Bilstein is out of the oem replacements till mid April.

The ones I ordered are not OEM. They are longer and beefer. They are made for an X with a lift and/or no rear anti-sway bar.
