Hello all, Does anybody know of any manufacturer selling headlight covers for 1999-2001 Xterras? Well, there is a company developing one as we speak. Does anybody want further information about this? It will protect your headlights from rocks and debris, and give it a smooth cleaner look at the same time. It will be aesthetic and functional at the same time. The company is also developing some other cosmetic accessories also to set yourself apart from the other sport-utes. Iformation will be on the web soon. What do you guys think? Yes. I can't recall who makes it, but I have seen it on that one guy with the matching yellow Frontier, who turned his X into a sand dune jumper with the nitrous... By the way, FYI, Xterras were introduced in 1999, but as a 2000 model.

Sorry guys, I didn't mean to cross post. I didn't think everybody checked every section/forum. I've only been a member for a short while, but now I know my fellow Xterra owners are completely interested in many topics. Thanks for the info though. I'll check GTS, but when the company get theirs ready, I'll forward the details. Thanks, HDXtra 2000 Black XE-V6

If they're clear, OK, but if they're smoked, blech! Smoked/tinted headlight covers should be illegal, what possible reason could there be to reduce the light output?

Brent Actually in most states while they are not specifically stated as illegal, they are illegal if the reduce the effect distance of the light under wich is required by law. Personally IMHO, covers other than clear ones should be out illegal. People who use the tinted ones are idiots. Hey lets reduce the effectiveness of my head lights and tail lights so I can look cool when I get hit by the Mack truck that can't see my brake lights or I hit the pedestrian that I couldn't see.
