Hey whats happening guys...
My post in the Noob Nook barely got noticed, so I figured I'd intro myself where it really matters.
I just picked up a Super Black 2004 S/C SE and I love it already. Obly have a couple weeks now.
Probably too stock for most of you here... but its the family truckster for me. It get driven daily, and it has just over 16K miles on it. It still smells new.
Dont intend to mod it much... perhaps upgrade the head and fog lamps, maybe add a receiver hitch.
Ive already removed the roof fairing and basket because I prefer to let the sunshine in. Also hardwired my V1 and TomTom Nav.
Im in my 30's, married and have a kid. In my spare time I like to mtn bike and some of my hobbies include photography and auto restoration. At any given time, i usualy have some kind of project cooking in the garage.
anyways.... looking forward to meeting you all.

That's a nice truck! Funny where your temp reading is. I have an 04 also and mine is in the mirror w/ a compass. If your looking to upgrade your lights I went w/ the sylvania silverstar ultras. They're much brighter than stock and they don't have a blue rice tint to them either. Most on here will bash your brush gaurd as they do more damage than not having one but it looks nice..Maybe mount some lights to that too? Either way..good luck!

Welcome!
Upgrading to better tires is nice to do.

Thanks guys...
If I had a choice, I wldve have done without the front and rear guards too. More of a PITA cleaning around it than anything else.
I cant explain why my ambient temp is up on the headliner pod???
I already istalled the Silverstar Ultras... also did the Silver 893's in the fogs (identical to the 899's). Im a little disappointed, but then Im used to running 55/100w offroad bulbs in my car. At least these look cool. I may rewire my fogs to stay on with the hi-beams.
With only 16k miles on the clock, the Rugged Trail TAs have plenty of life left on em. I currently had Silent Armor Forteras on my 4Runner and liked them alot. What do you suggest for almost all street use?

The dueler A/T Revo's are amazing in rain, snow, light mud, and street. I've had them for well over a year w/ plenty of tread life left. The silverstars are awesome! People give me the brights all of the time and I'm only about 2" higher than you.

If you never plan to take it off road, the Bridgestone Dueler Revo's will be fine. For street/mild offroad use I have the BFG All-terrain KO's, and for hardcore 4x4 I have the Bridgestone Dueler M/T's on OE wheeels.

I remember when my truck looked like that.

We're going to Rausch Creek next Sat, March 27, to do some trail cutting in the AM,and wheeling in the PM Come along! There's also runs in the Pine Barrens EVERY WEEKEND, typically on Sundays, but some Saturdays as well, etc. Check out www.clubxterra.org, right now, its got most of the active wheelers in our area checking in.

I just picked up an 04 Xterra this weekend would love to meet other owners and do some trails as long as they are ok for a new owner running stock w/ no prior off road experience. Well, there's trips to the NJ Pine Barrens every weekend, and, we go to Rausch Creek on a fairly regular basis. I'm going to RC on April 24 for the Spring NORA run...and stockers are welcome. There are some threads here (NJAX section) describing both the Pine Barrens and RC, take a look at the pic and vids, to get the flavor, and, keep in mind that the stuff that's posted tends to be the harder/more macho looking stuff, except for Mike, who might just suction cup a video camera to his roof and let it run all day, etc.
