Excellent editting and video!Haha, I agree, my girlfriend does look grumpy a lot during that video. I'm amazed no one pointed out that I put "Southeast" instead of "South West". I noticed it later, but Adobe Premiere is a pain when changing images that come from layers of a Photoshop file. If I ever burn it to a DVD I'll change it. Edit: I changed this on the Divx version, my problem with Premiere and Photoshop is that once I add or remove the layer to a file, all the Premiere links seem to go random. Some blank, some from other layers, but this is fixed just by closing and reopening Premiere. I hope they fixed this but in Premiere Pro (v7).

Jorge,
Dude. That is an awesome video. I've watched it a few times and for whatever reason it makes me feel happy.
Good job!

No clue, it was abandoned down there. When we passed it the next day it was gone. It still had used car dealership tags on it, expiring in Oct.

jorje,
I like the video. Well edited. Music is great. I like that it's focused on the journey, the people and not the trucks.
Nice!

Oh wow, glad you liked it. To get the originals you can get them by using a URL like this: http://www.envoid.com/image/id-4036 Just replace the ID of the photo (you can see it in the path). Or really, just remove "/fpThumb-large" from the URI of any photo. With this set you'll get some tiffs, fairly large ones, and since I scanned slides, you might need to remove some dust. Thanks.

Well the 2nd video is also very cool although the whole undercover filming section was a bit unnerving. "Te crees muy gracioso verdad." Wow that is what I look like chewing. "Paresco Vaca." I wonder why I was looking around almost nervously. Like someone was gonna sneak up and steal my burger. I didn't think my gox4 quote would be "boom, boom." Great job jorge. "Vas a ver eh cabron."

Anyone having problems with WMP not being able to get the proper codec for the DIVX version needs this: http://download.divx.com/divx/DivX51Bundle.exe You don't need to install the player portion, just the codec, and it will work. Brent

Jorge, I enjoyed both portions. The first portion made me feel like a voyeur or something. A very personal look into your trip with Regina. The second is very much like memories of the trip, showing various images that any of us might have had during the trip. Thanks for creating these and sharing them. The imagtes of Ian and Leslie's cat from the first section is disturbing. (looks like the cat) That is a really weird looking animal, so strange that it is cute, or maybe just strange ala the "elephant man". Take care, it was good to see you again, and to meet Regina. Todd

What camera and editing software do you use? I use a JVC GR-DV500US miniDV cam. It's a very low-end camera, MSRP is $800 but I got it for a $450. The quality is amazing, especially under relatively low light. High contrast lighting looks pretty crappy though. Here's a video clip (DivX) to show the quality under various conditions. As for software, I use SCLive for capturing via Firewire, Adobe Premeire for editing, and VirtualDUB and TMPGEnc for encoding to Divx and MPEG1/2.
