The official trail-drive is the 12th beginning from the Woods Canyon Marina at 9 am. However, those interested in camping on Saturday night should meet the morning of the 11th at Chevron in Anthem at 8 am. It'll be a nice easy drive up I-17 through Camp Verde and we'll cut up 260 to the western end of the FR. Prolly establish a camp along FR300 at 14 miles into the drive and continue on to the marina for an afternoon of fishing. Those inclined may of course lounge about the campsite and enjoy the shade of the pines and magnificent views. We'll return to base for dinner and frivolity, if you know what I mean and I think you do, than meet the others in the morning for the drive back across the rim.

SWANKy will be doing Charleau Gap the weekend of 9/18 for anyone interested. We plan to overnight it on Saturday.

The weekend of 10/23, we'll be camping on 4 peaks with a Saturday afternoon run of the Edwards Park loop.

As I understand, both trails have their gnarly spots and traction devices can come in handy, but any AZXC'ers that are interested are welcome to join us. I'll post meeting time/details, etc. in the SWANKy forum on N4W as the time draws nearer.
