I am thinking about purchasing a 2003 Xterra, but I was wondering if anyone has had a good experience with a professional mechanic when it comes to things like suspension modifications and even wiring. I've heard mixed reviews about taking the vehicle to the dealer, so I thought I'd ask what someone might recommend for me.

My first modification will be a set of skid plates, assuming I find 2003 compatible ones, although I can probably do that myself. Just about anything more complicated won't want to be worke don by me under normal circumsances. smile

I'm in Tucson, as the subject says...Thanks for any advice you can give,
