has anyone ran this trail? is it somewhat challenging?
Going on Saturday, the 8th, then heading over to phx for the christmas party
I got about 4 to 5 rigs going. Anyone else want to join in.

I got Ruskie, and then few friends from school coming along.

My friend has run it, he said you can do it in a stock rig but you better have some skills and experience, has some bad ruts in area's and loose rock. As we all know trails change for different reason he said the first time he did it he felt it was easier than the last two times he felt it was due to rain causing the ruts to increase in size. hope this helps have a great time and watch out for ATV's he said a few places got a little crowded.

Yasha, you will be fine in your stock rig. This trail will seem like a parking lot compared to chiva. The challenging part with the trail is route finding. It is marked poorly in a few places, and the signs do not agree with the Santa Rita backcountry maps. If you have a Well's book I would recommend sticking with those directions. Either way, it's almost impossible to get lost as it's not too remote, but do prepare yourself to be on at least one detour (plenty of gas, food and water). You will most likely not have any problems, but I have done the trail about a dozen times and seem to complete it differently each time. Let me know if I can be of any further assistance.
