#324378 - 18/04/08 10:37 PM 2" BL and rear springpack install 5/10

Hey All,

Wish I could get out more with you guys, but various things prevent it. However, Bren and I are gonna make the night run in Sedona come hell or slick rock.

I have a BL and refabbed springpack with aal sitting on my garage floor that I want to get put on before the run. I am going to try to get ahold of UCA's to finish the 3" lift by then, but I won't hold my breath on that.
WE are a go for Sat May 10th. We will be gathering around 9am at Adam's, as he has kindly offered his home and BL experience to the fold.
Soon as he offers me the address of his humble abode, I will post it here.

Thanks guys

Having done two bodylifts...I'l b sure to be there. [ThumbsUp]

Plan on about 4 hours for the body lift assuming we get started around 8-9am. Add an hour or so if no air tools.

Maybe we can get First Class to lend us some space again... [Smoking] That four-beam lift would make raising the body from the frame a breeze and cut the time in half. Normally you only do one side at a time.

I will need to throw on all new TRE and a bushing in my Calmini Steering that weekend also. That is only a 1 hour job though by myself.

A sawzall or angle grinder are very helpful with cutting the lower radiator support. I think an angle grinder would actually be best from what I remember.

Also, a good drill and array of good strong bits to relocate the bumpers. Adam did a great job with mine and Tom's.

I got a sawzall and can bring a drill and bits. I need to pick up an angle grinder so I will get one of those too.

If Onix can hook us up with the lift and you are willing to tavel this way... I'm sure I could help out (depending on when my parts finally show up).

I'm thinking of doing a BL on the Gen2 so seeing one done would do me some good too.

Your shop would be sweet if you can swing it Wally and Ty was willing to go there. It would be a much easier process with a lift I think confused .

Plus, I need to rebuild my steering system (new TRE's and bushings) that day. [Smoking]

Might have morehands to help at First Class as well. Just a thought. I'll be there to help wherever it ends up.

Wally,
Do you want to push back doing your light install till this day? I would like to install some lights too, but I am going camping this weekend (see other thread). What do you think?

Thank you very much to the offer of the shop. While it will make the process go by faster, I will be getting off work in Surprise that morning, and since Dan, Scott, and Adam are westsiders, I think we will muddle through at Adam's. That way he can stay home and enjoy the beer, and save us all a few bucks in gas.

You think they'll be here by then? Should be easy to install, I helped with Rob's (I think that was his name.)

Joannie wanted to know if any of the Girls will be coming?

If not, she's going to go and leave all the fun to us. (After she gets the pizzas!) smile
