You guys missed out. I was giving free rides in the rail last weekend in Glamis :p

I took the rail out with it's new suspension and engine for a shakedown run to the dunes. A group of about 8 of us had the entire playground of Glamis all to ourselves last weekend. The place was a ghost town. It's still too hot for the regulars to be out there and there was a big sand sports show in California this weekend. We got some rain on Saturday night that cooled the place right down to incredible duning weather. We did some late afternoon riding, an hour plus night ride, and about an hour and a half on Sunday morning with temps in the 70's. Beautiful.

Here's just a couple of pics that show how empty the place was and of the weather we got. Look in the background of the first pic, normally it's motorhome after motorhome and not even enough space to fit another car. The second is a picture of the weather that rolled through on Saturday afternoon. The Xterras would have been a blast out there with the sand somewhat rain packed, miles and miles of open duning with not another sole to be found. Click the pics for larger view.

Can't wait for the temps to cool off and the duning season to start, awesome.

Sweet. Appears you had some more work done on it Mike. How are the belts, seats and the rest of my work holding up for you?

Yeah Craig, I've had a lot more work done to it. Front and rear suspension, complete engine, axles, axle stubs, shocks, steering, front razor back tires, rear paddles, clutch, and trans (etc, etc, etc) are all changed out. I've got around $10K in it total now. The belts, bars, and seat mounts are perfect, working exactly as you planned [ThumbsUp]
