I spoke with Jim at Shrockworks today and my skid plates should be here next week. Any ideas what to cover them with before installing.

Spray-on bedliner might look cool, but I don't know how well it'll hold up.

Clean them well with acetone. Lightly sand, clean again with acetone, and then use a high-zinc primer followed by some semi-flat spray paint.

It's easy to touch up that way.

It might, but it'd also provide a raised, abrasive surface. Not very conducive to sliiding over stuff. Silicone or teflon shmeared would be optimal.

Dagger's got it Scott I powdercoated my sliders, and what's been mashed away, stays that wya for now. There's no touch up paint available to match. Besides, chicks dig the scars.
