We are moving the event to Encanto Park where it was last year. This is due to a fishing expo thing going on at Kiwanis that I found out about today. The spaces at Kiwanis have been booked since December for this urban lake fishing derby apparently.

There is also some OHV event/raffle going on at Table Mesa that Onix can fill everyone in on. Maybe a fun thing to go to afterwards to represent Nissan 4x4's...

i found out more its a ford thing Bronco's but was told there would be other makes there.should know more friday

Hey, what's up with drinks other than beer? Will there be water/soda provided again this year? How many stoves are coming out? (I'd like to "rent a burner" for oh, maybe 10-15 minutes if I could ..

Was going to be BYO beverage, but I can stop and get soda and water tomorrow morning.

You can use my burner since I beleive I used yours last year.

Thanks Timbo. IIRC we approved the funding of the annual chili cookoff beverages (wtr/soda) at a meeting last year.. I wasn't inferring that it'd be done otherwise..

We have enough club funds to cover the water/soda.

Along that note, I'll bring the new AZXC stickers in case anyone wants to buy one. They are $12 each.

whew that stuff will clear your sinuses.. this is my first attempt at ever making chili but i think it turned out damn good, or will at least.

BTW - I should have an extra burner, but my Dutch oven is pretty big (12") so I don't think there will be much room for anything else.

I'm up for a little bit of offroading after. Haven't really done anything on the south side of Phoenix. Anyone know of any trails in that area?

No wheeling, but the ride up to the top of South mountains fun and makes fro a great pic over the city..

Well, we had a great turnout. Congrats to Tim for taking first place in the Chili cookoff, and to Wally for taking first place in the macaroni salad division.
