Go outside right now! You can see them. I was pulling in my driveway and I thought my windshield was all streaked, but its the northern lights. My digital camera doesn't have a manual shutter option, so this is the best I can do.

I've never seen them before...

Very cool. They're very hard to photograph. We'd see them in Iceland all the time. They would form a bright almost circle and would dance all over on a good night. Man I miss 'em.
