Suggestions? Haspin? Badlands? Hoosier National Jeep trails?

When where you thinking? I'll be in Texas for a week at the end of the month. I'll be in Bloomington end fo April for Little 500.

We had a good time at Haspin. I don't know about it with the thaw though, it was really mudddy in the middle of the winter! I always see these jeep trails on the way to Nebo Ridge in Hoosier National. One time when I was riding my bike, a few jeeps came down the trail I am talking about. I think we may need to link up with some one familiar with these trails just to be safe. "Dueling banjos"
They are pretty crazy looking (rutted, muddy) I guess I would be okay with Badlands.

I'd be up for March 29 or 30 if there is any interest.

This weekend is lift weekend. I am getting my list of tools and supplies together today!

OK so there is at least 3 of us going. 1 ( me-to get stuck) and 2 for recovery.

Let's hope I don't explode another diff. They might not warranty this one. I'm planning on taking it easy this run.

So same place (upper parking lot), same time (around 9:A.M. attica time).

Randy, not sure if I'll make the drive with you or not, I might be out of town the night before, and just go straight to the badlands from there. I'll let you know later in the week.

Mike, yep, 32's are on, so i think everyone's riding on them now. Um, the X plans to stay functionable, so no deep water! Especially as cold as it's supposed to get, and you know better than anyone of us what that's like. Are you gonna bring your bike? I will if you will.
Pinoy, did you get your money and write up from me yet? I hope so, the Idler arm brace is already on, and the tie rods are packed.
Rob, I wouldn't mind a HNF ride sometime, X's or mountain bikes. I had found some trails there too once, but the group I was with wanted to camp and not wheel. We ended up hiking neebo instead. Went back later and couldn't find the other jeep trails. oh well.

I've got a cheap digital camera I can bring.

Yes, got it in the mail yesterday. BTW, Thanks for the info.I'd bring my bike but got to much carp in the truck already (can't fit it in). My spare MT hasn't come in yet from discount tire so I've got stockers as spare for now. It's rainning cats & dogs over here and looks like it's headed that way so plan on it being really muddy.
I'll see everybody there.

It's been raining here in indy since lunchtime.. it's going to be a mudfest, but that is an OK thing.

L, I don't think I'll bring the bike with how muddy it will be. Next time we get a dry-run, I'll bring the bike.

Sorry I didn't make it - I had to go out of town on Saturday for work. Let me know how it went. I guess this is the second run I have initialized and bagged on.... :rolleyes:

The run was pretty good. We still seem to be breaking things on a regular basis... we need to work on that.

We had 3 Xs show, and we did have a pretty good time. Attica was about as dry as I have ever seen it. I guess they didn't have any of the rain that we did here in indy.

However, the tubes are still something to stay away from. I walked down to "the spot" just to take a little stroll down not-so-pleasent-memory-lane. Some of the quad guys asked if we were thinking about going through. I said no. He said good, cause it's about 6 ft deep now. apparently they tried to fill it in, but it just keeps washing out.

All in all, we had a good time, even though I'll be cleaning sand out of the X for a while.. (and gravel off the hood, lawrence!!! )

Someone at work that lives over our way, Trials, said they say a yellow X driving down 38th and it was covered in mud! I told him it was probably you and about our run last week-end. Thanks guys for the tug. Everything still works that I can tell, cleaned the K&N and so far no probs. Sorry 'bout the gravel, and boy that sand was fun.
