Hey I did a search and could not find the answer. I am thinking about replacing the speakers on the Rockford system that came with my 05-SE.

Does anyone definately know the sizes for the back speaker and tweeter as well as the front speaker and tweeter? I have looked through the grill but it is hard to see. I can not tell if it is 6"ers or 6x9"ers.

front speakers are 6X9
rear speakers are 6.5"
dash tweeters i think are about 2.5". rear tweeters are about 1"

if you are thinking of upgrading your speakers you can most likely fit any size aftermarket tweeters depending how you make the casing for the dash. and you dont need any tweeters in the rears.

I'm surprised that you guys are already swapping out the RF systems in your trucks. I mean that was a $700 option. When I ordered my truck, I made sure that the RF setup wasn't there because I knew I was going to swap it out anyway.

That is one BIG reason I bought the S model as my system is total custom.

FYI, just so you don't think we are all silly for doing this.

I am up in canada and I wanted the SE package. You get NO OPTIONS on the SE and it comes standard with the rockford setup.

The sound system is....well ok and if I really didn't care about the sound I would not do anything with it. When I bought it, I really didn't think I would change anything out. My Civic that I just sold had McIntosh 6.5" seperates, with an Eclipse HU and a Phoenix Gold amp.

No, not silly. I just said I was surprised. I never like factory setups plus I want to go navi in my X, so I would never pay extra for "premium" stereo. But, I understand where you're coming from since you got an SE.
