O.K. guys, I received the info. I'll be using it soon. Now all I need to know is What
speakers fit well in those spaces. I see that some folk have already made the switch.
although I didn't see any info of if they were top mounted or rear mounted. I would like to use the neatest method.High quality
units is a must. Any sudgestions? Thanks.

I don't know if you're asking about front, rear, or both. Fronts are easy. Most fit. Backs aren't so easy. Many don't fit. From my experience I can tell you Polk EXs don't fit, but Polk DXs do (in the rear). The DX9s are a bit pricey but are great speakers. I know Infinitys will fit as well (Kappas at least) and they are also great speakers.

Think about the Infinity Kappa 693.1's in the back and Kappa Component 6.5's in the front, they sound great even without adding an Amp. The Infinity Basslink is also a very nice marriage with the X. Betcha think I work for Infinity... I don't just like their stuff.

Note: You need to remove the little condom off the back of the 693's to get them to fit in the back. It's just there for looks anyway.

The finest speakers for my, are the MB QUART, the sound quality is amazing, I install in the front a set of RBS 218, 6.5" woofer and 1" tweeter, and RBS 160 coaxials rear, but you need a nice AMP to get the best of it, also, don't forget the bass!!!

Well I finally took the dive, on a low budget
speaker replacement.Cerwin Vega 2 way & JBL
GTO's for the rears.Man did I get a surprise
when I removed the door pannel. The tweeter was even worse than I expected to find.
Instalation went well on the drivers side.although I didn't have time to complete
the job. I hope that the head unit is up to driving these units. It seems a bit weak.

Hey DVD-Man would these work in the front with the infinity 6x9's in the back? Keeping the stock cd player for now.

Infinity Reference Series 612i 6.5" 2-way speakers.

Yes, they would work with two potential issues.

1.) If you are referring to the Kappa 693.1's you will have to remove the condom off the back to kkep tham from hitting the inside of the quarter panel.

2.) You will have to make your own holes in the plastic spacer ring in the door panel to mount the 6.5"s.

But should sound great.
