I put a steelhorse console in my 02 XE so I no longer have the two outlets in the factory console. I tried to remove one out of the console and basically destroyed it. My question is- Has anyone who installed a new console also added 12 volt outlets and if so how? Does radioshack or someone have them and do they just plug into the existing factory plug?

I've got a triple aux outlet box (radio shack) tucked underneath the rear of my steelhorse. My 2000 didn't come with plugs in the console area so I tapped into my fusebox. It should be easy to tap your existing wires.
Since I use these plugs for my gps & laptop, I added a kill switch to the box.

I was wondering what to use that dead space for under the back of the console... Thanks!
